About the bench
Owner-operated. One bench, one set of hands.
I'm Douglas Kreie — the person answering the email, picking up the soldering iron, and writing the quote. Neighborhood bench in Enid, Oklahoma for computer repair, phone repair, tablet repair, electronics repair, tool battery rebuilding, virus removal, data recovery, software troubleshooting, and IT support. Same person at the counter, same warranty on the work, no chain-store overhead on the quote.

No tiers, no escalation chain, no “hold for the next available technician.”
- The same email address for the quote and the warranty.
- The same hands open the device that close it.
- The same bench logs every repair under one year warranty.
The bench
Real bench, real person.
TheITGuy580 is a small operation based in Enid, Oklahoma. I'm Douglas Kreie— the person behind the bench, behind the parts bin, behind the soldering station and the diagnostic scope. There's the bench, the parts bin, the soldering station, the diagnostic scope, and me — the person reading your email, opening your device, and writing the quote. No call-center tiers, no offshore triage line, no enterprise sales pipeline layered between you and whoever actually picks up the tool.
I've been doing this long enough to know when a fix is worth your money and when it isn't. If the part cost is past the value of the device, I'll say so on the bench before any work starts. If the repair is straightforward and worth doing, I'll write it up the same day. Either way, you get the same written quote before any billable work begins.
How we approach a repair
What you get here that the chains don't.
Three commitments I keep on every drop-off. They're not guarantees — they're how the bench is set up to run.
Free bench look-over on every drop-off. You get a written quote with parts, labor, and a realistic turnaround before any billable work starts. If a device isn’t worth fixing, we tell you — even when that means no sale.
OEM-grade parts from a small supply chain I’ve worked with for years. Named cells, named glass, honest spec sheets. No rebranded white-label, no “compatible” euphemisms in the quote line.
The same hands answer the email that did the repair. If something I put in fails inside a year, it comes back to me — not to a call-center tier, not to a national service contract with a fine-print exclusion.
What the bench covers
Nine repair families, one bench.
The same nine families listed on the home page. If it lives in your house or your shop, it's probably on the bench.
Phone repair
iPhone, Galaxy, Pixel screens, batteries, charge ports, back glass.
Computer repair
Desktops, laptops, custom PC builds, SSD and RAM upgrades, virus cleanup.
Tablet repair
iPad and Android screens, batteries, charge ports, software resets.
Electronics repair
Consoles, audio gear, controllers, board-level work other shops won’t queue.
Tool battery rebuilding
DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Bosch, Ridgid, and Craftsman packs the maker stopped supporting.
IT support
Home networks, mesh installs, small-business networking, on-site visits within the local radius.
Virus removal
Browser hijackers, scare-ware, and ransomware drops — with a posture guide after cleanup.
Data recovery
Sector-level recovery on failed drives, corrupted SD cards, and lost partitions — never promised, only attempted.
Software troubleshooting
OS reinstalls, driver rebuilds, and the “why is my laptop doing this” triage — no bloatware on the way in.
What we don't do
A repair bench, not an MSP.
TheITGuy580 runs a repair bench, not a managed-service contract. If you need someone to audit your firewall posture, run a security operations center on retainer, or sign a compliance attestation, you're looking for a different kind of company — and that's fine.
I don't sell managed-security contracts, MDR services, SOC-as-a-service, or compliance packages. I don't run a 24/7 security operations center, I don't sell threat-intel subscriptions, and I don't posture anyone against ransomware. I fix phones, computers, tablets, electronics, tool battery packs, and small-business networks — honestly, with a bench warranty.

Email the bench
One address. One inbox. Same person reads the email that's on the soldering iron the next morning. Replies usually go out the same day.
Bring it in
Tell us what's broken. We'll take it from there.
